It does, but I'm not interested in varieties. I would like to have one of every year though. I have 12 or 13 already I think, but 4 or 5 of those are not in a good enough condition.
Hey Luis, nice coins. I´m curious about the bolivares....how do you know it's a 5? I can't seem to find the denomination.... I found one tiny silver piece from Venezuela in my unchecked coin box....I took a picture but unfortunately I forgot my camera at home....(bummer). Anyway, it doesn't state the denomination...
Hi That can be quite confusing, but on Krauser it says its 5 bolivares. You know how to distinguish them by the weight of the coin (Gram 25).
I don't collect world coins, but I do appreciate their beauty. I found a 1/10 Balboa last night when I was going through some of the world stuff I've accumulated. Nice designs on those coins.
Venezuelan silver coins from the late 1800's to 1948 stated only the weights as Luis has said. The series translates as follows: 25 grams = 5 bolivares 10 grams = 2 bolivares 5 grams = 1 bolivar 2.5 grams = 1/2 bolivar or 50 centimos 1.25 grams = 1/4 bolivar or 25 centimos
Why thank you. I decided I should invest a little more and get them in a nicer condition, even though that means I won't be able to buy the 1901 or 1904 bolivares for instance. I have some 5 bolivares coins that are around the F zone, but I got them for relatively cheap at a local dealer in Portugal.
