2009 is definitely a bad year for storage i am spending more and more on storage and less and less on coins another huge amount gone. i cant believe it
If you're spending so much on storage, then you must have a lot of coins to store. So what are you complaining about?
i agree... i found out a few years ago that collecting is Not all about just buying coins and currency i found that books, storage, and other things also have to be purchased. It does dwindle the amount i can spend on numismatic items a bit, especially when i first started buying these supplies! But now that i try to keep on top of it, it only takes a bit here and there!
Reminds of the guy who Reminds of the guy who says he pays so much in income tax - if that's true he making a lot of money most likey.
Spock - I have the answer to alleviate your problems......sell some of your coins, but keep the associated storage. Thus, you will have more money to buy new coins and use the existing available storage! Voila - problem solved! :mouth:
I'm currently doing the same thing. As I upgrade many of my coins, I feel the need to upgrade the way they are stored. I was wondering if anyone had a problem with many of the albums being made in China. I pointed this out to my local coin dealer recently. I figured if they could care less about putting lead in children's toys, why would they care if there was acid in the pages of a coin album? His response was to hand me a Dansco (U.S. made) album. Needless to say...SOLD!
Good doctor, Harvey and I have some storage space available. Just send 'em right over and we'll take very, very good care of them. And get this....we won't charge you......
Good deal, dansco albums are GREAT. I have a substantial collection of dansco out of print albums, they hold up really well. Take a look at the old library of coins albums, they are outstanding and made in the usa. 50yrs ago
Well i am not worried about you BUT Harvey has been my very good to me one of these days i am going to send him some coins :hammer: carefully selected from a bag to boot
