Just got this 1947 in the mail today. http://api.photoshop.com/home_265fc...be-px-assets/6ea8b3815acf4458b4f82e5aef22ab2a http://api.photoshop.com/home_265fc...be-px-assets/7fa1a190e92f4dd9962ed83e68e7c766 Grade opinions? Full steps?
I would say MS62 maybe 63'ish on this one based on the pictures. I cant tell if FS or not but I think I see a nasty nick in the stairs.
I'm gonna say MS63 just by going by the pics. It's hard to tell about any type of luster or originality of the coin. The steps do not look full to me. Looks like some sort of breakage on the top step to the right and more below that on the bottom steps. Nice Jefferson from what I can tell tho'.
I'll tell you what it is! It's MS-64, and it has a really good strike, but not full steps! Nice coin. Looks strangely familiar...
Just picked this up yesterday for $3. What do you think it grades? http://api.photoshop.com/home_265fc...be-px-assets/025e90ccbc7142fcb501c903421f1a7f http://api.photoshop.com/home_265fc...be-px-assets/9078d8e5eed54e018f25a39cf54a3c69
I apologize. Hope these are better. http://api.photoshop.com/home_265fc...be-px-assets/f0f4f630151941b9807f3e96f284f757 http://api.photoshop.com/home_265fc...be-px-assets/4cf86ab5d2ad49cf869cc7be2f3657a7
I'm sticking with AU. Those coins were generally well-struck, and I'm seeing a hint of flatness in Jefferson's hair. Check the luster yourself. If it remains unbroken in that area, you can probably go MS-63. If the luster is broken, it's AU.
I know it's not new anymore, but I just took some really good pictures of the 1947. What do you guys think? P.S. Thanks Bernard!
