Great story and happy ending (for the good gus), but notice the lack of mention of eBay's participation. Maybe they were involved to some extent, btu I am betting that the local sheriff really drove the investigation.

 

Moral of the story is... You just can't trust a guy who rides a EDITED bike.

Spider, I have a 1982, called a "First Gen", and a 1988 Turbo2, called a "Second Gen", different body styles. I would like to one of each model, so that is the reason for two. As soon as I buy a new house, I will continue my,"Set", (a 3rd Gen) and have one of each! But that will be some time, as this hobby has only helped to take away from my, "Wankle" fund!

 

Now you have gone and done it Speedy. For someone your age who knows nothing of that age and country, you have gone and edited what everyone who fought WWII and died knew was the truth. Kind of gets you sob-sisters when someone isn't afraid to call a spade a spade. Oh ya, just wanted everyone to get along! Where did I heat that one before. Oh ya, now I remember: Dec. 7, 1941. and then they dropped the bombs. What the hell is this country turning into anyway?

 

The only reason Speedy edited that post is that he saw it before I did. BTW I'm old enough to remember exactly where I was and what I was doing on that Sunday morning!
