I should add that mid 30 degrees is celsius. I love the snow pics, beautiful scenes.

@Mammothtooth - I got your private message and could read it but not reply. Check your settings so you can make sure you’re allowing replies to private conversations.

Speaking of your username- my local fossil hunting buddy found a huge mastodon molar here one day I was out with him. I never have, but I’ve found some nice shark teeth, including some big megalodons.

You mentioned the “guest house/cabin” in my photo. It’s just my daughter’s childhood playhouse. Now that she’s grown and off to college, the old playhouse is now my wife’s personal storage shed, chock full of yarn and ribbons and fabric and other craft supplies. It’s pretty small. You can stand up inside it, but only just.

I like snow scenes, too. We only get it here once ever 20-25 years or so. I don’t miss driving in it when I lived in the NC mountains, though.

I've wanted a Ptolemy coin for awhile because of the eagle on the back. Finally got one on the cheap.

That's all I know, appreciate any more info...

Just read that the day after his coronation, the Rosetta Stone was made!!!

Yes, Mammoth is a big thing for me. I have hunted and found a few things. Mostly Miocene Fossils from the Badlands in South Dakota, quite plentiful and fun to look for. Also Indian arrow heads and related material. Indian beadwork I like as well. Beaded material is purchased... 814A050C-E396-445A-9C06-37964DF552AC.jpeg 1A88970F-5E13-4251-BAA3-A19DBE422AEE.jpeg

Nice coin. A very expressive portrait.

As for the weather, just a few scattered flakes falling here, nothing sticking (or needing shoveling).

My Ptolemy II tetradrachm, from Tyre:

    Hi @Kentucky,

Sorry, That's not a Ptolemaic coin. I think it's from Asia Minor, but I can't read the city name on the reverse.
