I was going through my coin books and found this 1968s cent. It looks pretty nice and I thought you guys might want to check it out.I can't see anything wrong with it but if there is something wrong I know you guys will see it...What do you think?
P.S. Check out the stairs on the reverse....Almost all of them are there.... :woot: SingleShot0000.jpg SingleShot0001.jpg SingleShot0002.jpg SingleShot0003.jpg SingleShot0004.jpg SingleShot0005.jpg

3.04 million proofs were issued at the San Francisco mint in 1968 - this looks like a proof, IMHO (non-cameo). And, generally most proof-struck coins have higher detail (including steps, lines, etc.). Pretty cent, though.

That looks like a nasty scratch above LIBERTY. If it is, the best it would grade is "MS DETAILS".

Is it the photo or does the reverse look very wavy? Looks like it is going through an earth quake.

    Nope, not a proof.

Nice looking but the only thing that I would question it the straight line from the rim to Lincoln's collar. It's above LIBERTY at about 10:00.

Yeah, scratch above liberty, contact marks on cheek, not a proof. The lack of detail is because this was the last year for the old master hub. Still a very nicely preserved coin...excellent luster...imo...Spark

Based upon the smoothness of the obverse details, I'd say it had been polished. JMHO

Good photos...seems the scratch is actually a hair or filament of some sort, runs off the rim under the flip...shadow of the hair/filament also. Good catch...Spark
