Is this an error of any kind. I just thought it weird that no other damage than the bulges on the obverse side.
    Thank You!!

What do you think made those indentations on the reverse?

They looked like number 8 bird shot. I didn’t see any marks that would indicate the coin was used as a target of any kind it’s not bent either. Just the bulges on the obverse from the impacts on the reverse. Thats why I needed some expert opinions. Thank U!!

A pellet is either .177 or .22. I thought it might be bird shot, but, i couldn’t find any marks that the coin was held in place as a target. Its def not a nail or bolt. That’s why I posted it on here to get some pros opinions. I thank U all!!

It's possible that pellets hit it at a slight angle. If the impact were from "straight on", the impressions would be circular, but these appear to be slightly oval.

The biggest problem is that only the person who caused this can tell you exactly how it happened. Of course, it's obvious that it is PMD. Otherwise, there would not be the corresponding bulges on the obverse.
