1971D NICKEL BOTTOM CUT

    Definitely doesn't look like a clipped planchet. I'm guessing PMD

    I hope no one minds my input . I'm guessing it's Post Mint damage . Too clean of a cut , looks filed smooth . No Blakesley effect . Thanks

    You are correct in your assessment, the burr on the obverse side is a direct indication. An Incomplete planchet will show the cut and shear marks on the part that is missing.
