1998 P DIE CRACK?

    IS THIS A DIE CRACK, OR JUST DAMAGE? I KNOW DIE CRACKS AREN'T REALLY VERY COLLECTABLE. JUST WONDERING FOR MYSELF. THANKS!

    That is damage. Zinc rot. Spend it before it dissolves.

    Hello - looks to me likes it's plating blisters. Happens to copper coated zinc cents.

    It's damaged. The lighter colored areas are where the metal was pushed out to the sides and worn down over the years.

    Doesn't matter. It's still a damaged copper plated zinc cent.

    Another suggestion.. Always post full pictures of both sides of the coin you are showing us.

    Yep, worn out , damaged self destructing zinc coin.
    And we do love good pictures
    Even the 1998 could be a Close AM -CAM variety
    Gotta show both sides for proper id
