Will these grade at PCGS- probable MS 70?

I agree with you guys. #1 will grade. #2 will grade at NGC in my opinion as they use super secret stuff at NCS that makes their coins look like they got the 70 treatment- I know from pesonal experience. Sent in a beautiful RB 1881 IHC with some light carbon flecks that they removed but my coin became violet and burgundy colors. It graded MS 63. I just hear that PCGS bodybags such coins a lot, though have never sent one in.
Leadfoot, I have read many of gmarguli's post and he is quite a character. He has a great one on NGC boards. Can't remember the title but it's about experimenting with common change with every method known to man for learning experience. I have tried virtually every method he suggest but have a few more to go. I have read all his posts on his PF IHC and specifically the 64-66 upgrades he got AFTER MS 70 treatment at NGC with a crack out. I actually have no problem with MS 70 and personally like blue coins. No weight or ions are removed with this product and the coin cleans up nice with no change in luster with my experience. I like the blue look on coins, but I did not like how this coin looked after NCS and greatly regretted it. I should have submitted as is. Still a nice coin, but not as pretty as before IMO

This post could get off tasks quick into a MS 70 debate but that would be fine by me. Here you go.

I had some Indian Proofs that I did not have out on display due to the color, I was not sure they were original, so at a slow time at the show, I took them over to Rick.

He went over them with me, and explained a whole lot about the blue indians, storage, old varnishing and acetone treatments, detecting the MS-70'd coins vs some original coins in his display, and I learned alot.

He told me I was paranoid, there were good coins, so I put them out and sold them later that weekend:rolleyes:

I have since done a bunch of experimenting and looking, the differance is now easily obvious to me in most cases.

Whooosh....That is the sound of that little tidbit flying over my head! It never dawned on me that you meant the cleaner and not the grade. LOL!!!!

We all would love to learn more on the subject.

These pictures show nothing more except that that some slip thru the cracks, and that PCGS and NGC have in the past slabbed obviously treated coins, there have been many threads on many sites about this.......check some old Anaconda pics

Most of my experiments have been with biz strike Lincolns cents, not Matte Proof or Proof Indians:goofer: I can spot a MS-70 treated copper better than I used to.

Now, there, the balls in your court.:kewl:
