Does anyone know if someone manufactures a coin album on the order of a Dansco album specifically for Canadian silver dollars? If so, who sells them? Right now I keep them in 2x2s but they would look better in an album. Thanks.
I have an example of every Canadian Silver dollar up to 2009 and I have them all stored in circular air-tights, and all of them are placed within the attached drawers that are inside the attached aluminium case. Its a nice presentation, and its nice to be able to take the coin out at will, and review both sides. The aluminum case can accomodate 10 drawers so I also store some additonal coins in there as well. Its got a lock as well. I see that the Dansco Albums seem to be popular in the U.S but my method and 2 x 2 storage allows you to perhaps have more than 1 example of any given coin. Thats nice flexibility when your dealing with an expensive key date, and you want to show case both of them. http://www.ihobb.com/cgi-bin/ws400CS.cgi?category=LIGHTHOUSE+COIN+BOXES&pcat=coinsupplies.html
Dansco produced two different albums for Canadian dollars. 1> Album #7206 with title "Canada Silver Dollar". This has 4 pages and a slot for all silver dollars produced between 1935 and 1968. 2> Album #7207 "Canada Dollars". This has 7 pages and a slot for all silver and nickel dollars. This has slots for all dollar coins produced till 1991. I have both of these albums but I keep my extra coins in these albums. For my primary dollar collection, I still prefer keeping them in 2x2 and then in 20 coin per page album. This allows me to keep adding different varieties found in these series. Regards, Ballabh Garg
