Here's an unofficial Constantine I Siscian VLPP struck over a Licinius I IOVI CONSERVATORI (RIC VII Siscia 11) from Siscia, struck A.D. 313- 315. 22mm 3.0g Because of a monetary reform, it was overstruck sometime after the VLPP (in silvered bronze) was introduced in A.D. 318 the undertype RIC VII Siscia 11
That's one of the more crazy overstruck coins I have seen that wasn't Byzantine. Wonderful & interesting coin, Victor.
Very nice! Interesting that is was struck on a larger module / weight standard flan. There was clearly still enough profit in striking on a heavier flan further indication that the coinage of 318 was likely re-tariffed upwards. SC
