    Greetings folks,

I haven't seen a similar thread, so I thought I would start one.

I have recently become enamored with a few Renaissance Fair tokens and medals I have run across, especially the work of Ron Landis. I thought a thread dedicated to his work and designs would be nice. I for one, would appreciate seeing others as well

Here are a couple photos of my first Ron Landis Renaissance Fair medal.

    Post up yours.

No, I don't have any at all. love the Dragon Rider!! Very nice but I'd like them even more if they were made of gold! :D Landis has been around for years, glad to hear he's still creating his ideas! ;)

Never occurred to me that such things existed. I really like the designs and the general style of the coins

He is still creating new material. These are some of his older designs and I am trying to find out more about them.

His new studios are located here:

I'm not a sales weasel, but more of a fan. I recently picked up a couple of his new pieces, this being my favorite.

But he is still doing his classic designs as well. He is even doing modern tributes to notable Ancient coins.

But back to the topic - his Renaissance Fair medals.

I wish I could get some chronological data on the brass medals. Hoping to drag someone out of the woodwork who knows a bit of his history.

Oh yeah, if they were gold, Zoid wouldn't be doing a thread on them now, would he . . . . .

I've perused that site. Good information on Gallery Mint Museum, very little that I could find on his Renaissance Fair work. I figured some fanatic would have started a site by now.

    Maybe I need to dig a little deeper . . .

As above, one, two or three ounce versions available. They have special pricing for all three. Wish I could afford that . . . . . .
