    I love this coin. These are the pics from the auction itself (seller said I could have them).
    Any comments or thoughts on the grade?
    I'll reveal sellers grade and my thoughs later...

    I wish my buffs had their full year on there. All mine are worn and not so great. I wouldn't grade this cause well I am not very good at it but I will tell you that this coin is one of the most beautiful buffalos I ever saw.

    Would need to see it in person, but based on the photo MS65 with a somewhat weak strike.

    NICE--I have a 1936 MS63 (in a OLD PCGS holder) that is like this but no toning..

    The braid and the hair right above that are where I see the only marks...and on the Buff...I would say with the toning MS64...I think to make MS65 there can be distracting marks...I see a few but not many

    Richard;
    Let me put it this way; If I were trying to buy it, I would say it was MS-65
    But if I already owned it, It would be a MS-66
    A very nice coin, and don't let anyone tell you different. It comes very close to those I have sets of, and I know what they are graded.

    The photos are nicely representative, though the actual toning is a bit more vibrant. The seller fairly represented as MS65, in my opinion. I think that tit is arguably MS66. The strike is a bit weak as pointed out. Anyhow, I got a great deal on it, and have NO intention of reselling for any reason! This is one of the nicest Buffs I have in my collection!
    I love the luster in the fields!
    Anyhow, I will slab it for protection, but dont see any reason to have certified. These toned buffalos (toned MS buffs are the 'center' of my collection) are really a pleasure to look at. They are a great dignified coin that represents a great bit of history.
    Love 'em!

    I agree Richard, it is arguably an MS66, the only thing holding it back may be the strike. In any event, it is a drop dead gorgeous coin! Nice find.
