I agree that the classical Owl is over-hyped. Pictures of classical Owl and the Alexander tetradrachm are the commonly seen in introductory history books on Greece. They become the obvious "introductory pieces" to potential ancient collectors.
I love the Owls, but they are overpriced. I have always wanted one - they are available everywhere in most any condition - but way more than they should be given the availability.
