Grade a Franklin Half ?

  3. Franklins are hard to grade accurately because the obverse has a really weak looking strike.

    I think this is AU. There seems to be wear on the bell (near the top) and the top lines don't seem to go all the way across... they kind of disappear in the middle. It's a little hard to tell about the obverse though, maybe you could try getting a pic with less direct light on the coin?

    I'm with Schroeder on this one, however I would like to say that the one thing that I can't see in this picture is luster, and without that I can't tell you anything definative.

    This coin could grade anywhere from XF - AU depending on the luster.

    I agree with the other posters. Hard to tell from the pics, but probably AU, maybe EF.
