now that it has been a positive ID as a gilded with gold five cent coin the next question would be how to ID it as original or modern. looking closer there are bridges of either soldered , plated or dipped gold all over in different places (see photo ) which is thick compared to other things that are electroplated , but sorta reminds me of bad soldering techniques (cold solder) in electroncs classes, but it could be bridges of gold from when it is dipped but the excess was not shake/thrown off. I would like to know in all the expertise of the best of everyone here is what type might this gold plated coin have on it to help determine if it may be a true racketeer coin or a horrible mistake in defacing this V coin in a modern attempt to bamboozle some poor sucker. thanks for any input.:secret:
