    Winner of the funniest meme ever, goes to... @Alegandron . And the crowd goes hysterical!!!
    I have always been a Marius guy. And as such, when I began collecting ancients I was incredibly disappointed to learn that there are no Roman coins commemorating one of Romes greatest generals.
    Here's the closest and it just shares his name, no relation is my understanding. And then the dictator:

    L. Sulla and L. Manlius Torquatus
    82 BC. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.8 g). Military mint traveling with Sulla. Helmeted head of Roma right / Sulla driving triumphal quadriga right; above, crowning Victory flying left.
    As consul for the year 88 BC, Sulla was awarded the coveted assignment of suppressing the revolt of Mithradates VI of Pontus, but political maneuvers resulted in this assignment being transferred to Marius. In response, Sulla turned his army on Rome,!

    There seem to be thousands of these. Very common coin but I liked the obverse style so spent a bit more.

    'Twas the night before Kalends, and all throughout Rome
    Not a creature was stirring, not even a gnome;
    The optimates slept by their hearths with no care,
    With hopes that L. Sulla soon would be there;
    The Marians, dreamt poorly that night in their beds;
    As fear of proscriptions messed with their heads;
    A quick settlement in Dardanos, with no time to wait,
    Then Sulla rushed in through the Colline gate.
