It's been sometime that we haven't heard any news from out coin-friend Deacon Ray. I contacted him on inbox few days ago. But no answer. Please tell us if you know anything
People disappear all the time, sometimes temporarily and sometimes not. But obviously it's worrisome this year.
I’ve wondered about him, and also @chrsmat71 , but from briefly checking I just found chrsmat’s post where he says he’s on a break from collecting. Hopefully they hop back on soon.
...Yeah, nowadays, there are too many brand new contingencies to even think about. Kind of changes the rules. ...Sure hope he's okay.
I messaged him a while ago because I was concerned as well. He responded on November 8 saying that he was planning on returning to the forum soon. He hadn't added any coins to his collection, but, was reading through some of David Hendin's essays. He didn't say how he was doing. But, I really hope he's doing well and that we do see him back here soon. Erin
Hope you see this eventually, @Deacon Ray, and return soon. We miss you. I used to have his snailmail address, several years ago, but would have to do some serious excavation through old private messages to find it, and even then, I dunno if it would still be current. Come to think of it, and speaking of excavation, I might even still have his email address. Yeah... I think I probably do. I used to PayPal him a modest fee when he helped me with small Photoshop jobs. Note to self: dig through old emails...
..yeah, i've been wondering about him also...i had some more frankinsense to send him..if he needed it...
LOL, @Deacon Ray , I am re-watching the original Saturday Nite shows from the first seasons (1-5). Saw them as they originally aired back in the mid-70's. This was one of the music guests that I just watched. "Welcome Back, Deacon Ray..." SEASON 1 SatNite.
