I've been buying and selling on eBay for almost eleven years now, but never sold a coin. So while searching through a jar of old wheat cents a few weeks ago, I came across this one. A little beat up, but it sold. Anyone care to guess what it sold for? And what would the approximate grade be?

I dunno, without knowing the value of American Coins, Ill take a shot at it.
1911, I dont think there was a shortage of metal, as WWI didn't hit until 1914.
The grade isn't the best...maybe a VG as a grade.
Mintage from the S mint was 4 million, considered a low mintage by normal standards.
    I'll say 5 bucks plus S&H?
How much did you have listed as a S&H because that effects the bidding as well.
Hang tight for other guesses before you advise what it sold for...Im totally in the dark on American coins.

I always try to list small items with "free shipping"... so that's what I did on this one.

Ok, Id like to change my bid..8 bucks including shipping and handling.
BTW, mintage was only 4 million.
Please post the ebay link when you are ready, so we can all see the bidding 'fleury' :)

Without the reverse, it is a little hard to tell for sure, but it looks to be fine/VF, but has some corrosion on it. eBay is kind of all over the map, but $44?

In F grade, my guess is that it sold for 25 bucks.

Worth $9.95 but on ebay you probably had some numnut pay $39.95 for it.

I paid $26 for a similar coin on ebay in May 2006 plus $2 for S&H. Assuming some inflation and free delivery, I'll bet it sold for about $30.
