Hello all, I saw a few auctions on eBay and I was curious if a) they are authentic and b) approx. how much they're worth. Thanks, http://cgi.ebay.com/Poland-Casimir-...286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:13|39:1|240:1318 http://cgi.ebay.com/Polen-Elbing-Po...286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:13|39:1|240:1318 http://cgi.ebay.com/Poland-Lithuani...286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:13|39:1|240:1318 http://cgi.ebay.com/Poland-Johan-Al...286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:13|39:1|240:1318
No idea about them and it would take too long to try and look them up. If you are interested in Polish coins then I would suggest you contact Jurek at - http://numismaticstore.com/ns/index.php - him you can trust.
I doubt someone would go through the trouble of faking early polish coins to sell for $6 on ebay. If you like the coins get them, I wish the coins I liked were $6! Looks like some neat things to put away. Good luck.
Those look legit, though somewhat on the lower end condition wise. There are many, many terribly common medieval Polish coin types - relatively speaking. You shouldn't have to pay more than $20 for each of those types in more respectable condition. A good auction house/dealer based in Poland is WCN (go to Sklep Online to see for sale listings). That can give you a better idea of what is out there. (all prices in zloty!)
