Guess which one PCGS called "Questionable Color" and which one received a GEM MS65 straight grade (and thus, is no longer a "raw" coin?)

Top MS 65; bottom QC? (I like the top better, regardless of PCGS grade)

I think they should both be Details graded for QC, but my guess is that the top one passed muster and is in an MS64 holder.

PCGS called these QC many years ago. I can't argue.

Actually, PCGS said the bottom one was legit and "body-flipped" the top one:

I wasn't expecting an either/or situation - I figured either they'd both get graded or neither would.

Looks like after taking over 30 pics... you gotta settle for these 4....
The flash show the color beautifully but wash out details the detailed pics don't show the color and none show that the fields are still mirror bright (if mostly purple now) makes it a hell of a coin to get a good pic of without setting up the lightbox...
On a side note 1st time out of a sealed 2x2 in about 20yrs (it was BU white when it went in)

Some really nice looking coins and tokens. Found this one, along with several others, in a box I purchased at an auction. 1890-S Morgan.jpg 1890-S Morgan2.jpg
