    Hi ! All,

Just got this 1914 Buffalo from E-Bay for $ 30.00. It looks better than the scans, but I still think I probably paid too much for this full horn buff. It is very dirty and wonder if I should let it sit in Acetone for awhile. What do you guys & Gals think ? How about a grade.

Looks Xf and yes I think it could benefit from a quick dip in acetone. Worst case scenario, nothing happens.

Acetone does not remove dirt. I cannot say this enough times - if you are not 100% happy with the way a coin looks - then don't buy it. Then you don't have to worry about trying to fix it.

    I wouldn't mess with it.

I am probably alone on this, but I think some darkness can enhance the appearance of buffalos, it highlights the details, especially one in such good condition. I'd leave it alone.

I would say that you got what you paid for but the dirt should have been extra!:D
