U.K. Proposes Revised Definition of ‘Treasure

    Laws regulating archaeological finds affects ancient numismatics more than any other field in numismatics. Unfortunately, anything can now be deemed a "culturally important" treasure.

    It appears the regulations have become even more stringent.

    I have mixed feelings. We should document and preserve history. But museums should be forced to display these pieces; otherwise, they should release them for public sale.

    This is very much in keeping with the Roman Empire, as its inhabitants were the primary looters of the city of Rome itself especially for the benefit of Constantinople :smuggrin::hilarious:
