Hey guys, I recently almost finished my state quarters (only need Hawaii) and thought of moving on to world coins. I picked up a 1992 10 pence British coin, and a 1992 5 Rupee coin. So far I've been putting them in air tight bags. Do you guys know a site that sells cheap cases, or a store that might have them?
What type of cases are you interested in? Like Air Tites for individual coins or larger display cases?
No matter what type you're looking for, you'll do best at a mail order retailer. The best one depends on what you're buying. I prefer Air-Tite capsules and I've found the best prices at J.P.'s Corner (www.jpscorner.com) or Air-Tites.com (http://www.air-tites.com/). They both offer volume discounts so you pay a lot less if you buy larger quantities. I don't know how these will match up with your world coins, but they are sold in millimeter sizes so you should be able to find one that's close to the size you need. These dealers also sell a variety of other kinds of cases, including Capital Plastics, Harris, Whitman and slabs. The best prices I've found on Dansco albums is Brooklyn Gallery of Coins (www.brooklyngallery.com).
That message is there because I took too long to find what the thread starter was looking for. The reason I edited the post to that is because I can't delete my own posts.
As noted already (www.jpscorner.com) I've never used them but have heard nothing but great, decent things about that place. Some say they are as cheap as buying direct at a coin show and those are usally really cheap.
