I believe this to be a minor cud, But would like confirmation. There isn't any match on cuds on coins. Any advice is appreciated!
Damage, not a cud or die break imo Looks like it's part of the damage in the L & A., and the rim. Check the edge of the coin below the A, and there's a good chance you'll see a rm bump there.
So you're trying to tell me that a "hit" that is no larger than 1/32nd of an inch is going to spread enough material to fill 3/16" of an inch? ok sure right!
Check the left half of the foot of the "L" and the right serif of the "A". You can see flattening of the metal.
I was referring to the incused small 'hit' on the rim itself, below the left leg of the A. That's what I though you were referring to. I'm still talking about the flattened area of the rim below most of the A. It's damaged, as mentioned numerous times, but I think I'm being a bit too specific when talking about certain areas of the coin - sorry 'bout that. It's your coin, and we're just confusing each other pointing out areas that each of us are not talking about. It's all about the enjoyment, so enjoy.
