Can't find this anywhere..... Anyine know why Medusa was more popular than Stheno and Euryale? Also trying to figure out why Stheno and Euryale were never put on coins, but Medusa was... stainless

I guess Medusa just captured the imagination better than her sisters. There's a lot in the greek myths that never made it to coins. Kinda how Hercules was on a few coins, but you never see any with Xena...
I'm fairly sure that this is simply a result of modern scholars describing the images as "Medusa." As far as I can tell, there are no specific attributes that would allow one to tell Medusa from any of her sisters, except on the aegis, which bore her image. At first glance, Gorgoneion images were apparently used by the ancients to dispel the "evil eye." This would place them in the realm of good-luck images, which feature prominently on many coins of the ancient world.
