How about this one: Note that it's an MS coin, not a PF. NGC doesn't even recognize that variety To them all 1856 FE's are proof.
That 1857 DDO is interesting since I received one similar to it in a small cent type set years ago that I chalked up to MD. Now I'll have to dig it out and scrutinize it. Does the reverse have the remnants of a clash?
I've had the 1857 & 1858 FE for a couple of years. I don't have the means to copy them, but they are RAW but in covered. I didn't know much about them until I actually looked up the 1856 FE and I knew then, I would never be able to own one at their price. I really like your FEs. At best, mine are F.
This 1858 Flyer was my type coin for a number of years. PCGS bounced it back to me in a body bag for "AT." I was angry about that to say the least. They took my money for no reason. NGC graded it MS-64. NCG got it right. I still have this piece. This is my current type piece, an 1857 in a PCGS MS-65 holder. This one is not in my collection. It shows the technical problems that prompted the mint to change the design after two or three years of production depending upon your thoughts about the 1856 Flyer.
I have a 57 and 2 58 small letters all about f-vf but I too damn lazy to pop em out of the album to post a pic tonight lol
