people are scared of upper case letters and they feel someone is shouting at them, when all i am doing is typing so it is easier to read

It’s weird to type in all caps, but unless you’re on a massive social media platform trying to gain influence it’s just weird for people to get so upset by it

For the same reason that "shucks" is not considered a bad word, but Edited is. Enough people agreed that it was so, so, it's so. It jus' growed that way.

Who do you want to read your posts -- other people, or yourself? If the former, why would you not post in the format that's easier for them to read? If the latter, why are you posting in the first place?

Perhaps. But that still isn't a "superstition."

Thank to my peace of mind that I do not participate in the auction site unseen game.
I prefer and only buy in hand, scufffs the front pocket with his finger tips.

How do you seal the deal?

Guess they read the terms. Kinda directly from the mint or TPG GRADING ? on the v75 ASE Cash grab

I'll have to check out the new direction that ebay wants to take us. I did get a couple of those emails but blew them off and thought that whenever the hammer comes down, I'll figure it out. I don't even know what the pricing and fees are for using that part. They do draw a crowd of coin enthusiasts though so it'll be hard to break down and sell somewhere else and get the same exposure.
I don't have any stake in this podcast, however if you want to listen it is a great little series. It is called Business Wars and they have a couple episodes on Ebay vs Paypal. It's a very interesting listen!

I'm concerned that this switch to managed payments means they're going to require everyone to use tracking. Those of you making big purchases or selling valuable things will say everyone should use tracking, but for low value items it doesn't make sense. 95% of the coins I sell are for under $2, and I use a stamped envelope to send them with a modest shipping charge to cover it. If I'm required to use tracking, I have to start charging $4 for shipping for every coin. That means an order that used to cost someone $2.50 or less is now up to $6. That really kills my business model and also frustrates a lot of collectors who just want to cheaply fill their albums. No one is going to pay $6 for my early 1900s British pennies.

not only ebay can ruin a business - also the post can do it - here in Austria you had to pay the stamps for a letter depending on weight - some years ago they changed it to size and thickness - I was able to ship cheap articles national for EUR 1.25 shipping - now they charge EUR 2.75 or EUR 4.30 for the same thing

more expensive when shipping abroad - instead of about EUR 3 to EUR 5 its now up to EUR 9.90

so you are no longer able to sell EUR 1 items at ebay and ship them for a good deal for the buyer - and noone really buys cheap collectors items because of the shipping charges

I can ship a few coins internationally in a regular letter size envelope for $1.36 if it weighs less than 1 ounce. But if I have to use a larger envelope which has tracking it costs about $16 (I'm not sure the exact amount). That's a huge jump in price and makes shipping large orders internationally cost-prohibitive. Everyone wants tracking on their package but people don't realize how much more it costs to add that. There was a time when you could just pay a little extra to add tracking to a stamped envelope but that's no longer allowed.

Can't you just open a different account with eBay and do business as you did before the "opt in/"

It's possible that they're requiring new accounts to use Managed Payments, with no opt-out available. I thought they were requiring it, but @mynamespat said there were a lot of new accounts created to sell v75 coins, so I may be wrong.
