Last night I was thinking about, "The water seal" on bills, is the way every body check for the authenticity of a bill. You don't think this little faces was the way they checked long time ago for the authenticity of a coin? I found this and 1969-s and 2000 all ready. The face is there. Walk a little away from your screen. believe me the face is there.

I just came across this thread and since I haven't weighed in before, I'll do so now.

I think what Carlos was pointing out in his original post was that there is heavy damage on the obverse without a corresponding area of damage or deformation on the reverse. Normally when something is done to heavily affect the metal on one side, there is a flattening or bending of the metal directly opposite that area on the other side of the coin.

It was his opinion that since there was no damage on the opposite side, then the damage must have been done when the coin was still fully being supported in the die. Although that is clearly not the case, it still begs the question of how this damage actually could have been produced. At the very least the edge of the coin has to have been held steady against something while something mechanical hit the edge of the coin at a low angle. An edge-on shot of the damage area might shed a little light on this.

I would suggest that the damage happened either in a coin counter or a
    vending machine.

Flippant replies do no one any good, especially when they're made to someone whose native language isn't English. I suppose some of you would have been in hog heaven 100 years ago when you could have spent time at Ellis Island laughing at the immigrants' attempts to communicate.

Ethnicity has absolutely nothing to do with anything here... and for you to insinuate that is absolutely asinine.

I get what he is saying... if I don't I ask for clarification... It's not that we don't get what he's saying... what he is saying doesn't make any sense

It has to do with some of the claims being made about how different symbols are appearing on this coin. Comparing the production of this piece to colonial pieces... and the symbols contained in the damage... which the OP refuses to believe is damage... and their is a greater conspiracy going on at the mint... that's what this post has to do with.....

This coin was hit on the front and supported on the back notice the flattening of the letters on the back. It's not hard to do I will try tonight and post a picture. As for the faces on a coin you can find anything you want if you stare hard enough I see a face in the opposite direction you show. I think it is what the mind wants to see. I don't think any dealer will give you more than 1 cent for the coin. Ice

This was mentioned before about seeing things on the surface if you stare at it. So I rotated the photo that you saw something in and found another face. What does this have to do with Nova Constellatio Patterns?

I have been following this post for a while now. All I can see on that Lincoln cent is post-mint dammage and nothing else. But if you want to look for some hidden faces take a look at this nickel. And yes, this really is a clipped planchet.[IMG]
