Should we tell him we been seedin those fields for years ? NAH. You're the man Paddyman . You're quite the prospector you are. Nice finds. Don't know this or not. Does the recent rain bring to the surface any of those coins ? thnx.......martha
I feel like the wet ground allows for better signals on the detector. It's just an opinion I've heard from other detectorists also. Thanks
I was just thinking .... You should have your own Detecting Utube channel . I would watch .. ohh the humor . lol
Hello I have a 1789 double headed quarter that says first President George Washington on it and it's gold
Hello new Member . Can you start your own thread ? Please show pics with whole coina nd some close ups. Thanks
Yikes - that spooky head alien giving the four finger salute looks like it should stay buried - Martians from Cydonia might come looking for that thing
I love it, for exactly the same reasons! Nice haul. Nice Merc. I never tired of finding those, back in my dig days. (That last one in the plug was a '26-D. Pretty nice.)
Thanks! I'm heading out for another detecting hunt this morning. It's very cold and windy but I'm determined to find a few bucket list items.. Especially a Barber Quarter!
I only found 3 Barber quarters in my dig days. (1894-O, 1902-O, 1916-D). And one Seated (1855). I dug more than a roll's worth of Merc dimes. I guess maybe 60-some, in the time I was regularly going out. But I never got tired of 'em. I'd be out there diggin' 'em up still, if I were in better shape physically.
I always hit cellar holes that ranged from the 1700's to about early 1900's. Lots of Coppers, IHC. and barbers .
