    Thank you.

    I'm just beginning to get involved with coins. I saw it at an auction. Knew it was very old, but nothing else. Picked it up for $60 U.S. Probably overpaid but I don't care. It's cool just to have it.

    $60 is a pretty good price for that. Its a very pleasing specimen.

    Thank you. I hope I'm having some beginner's luck working for me.

    Cumbor, that's the first Probus I've seen with the bird on the reverse side like mine.

    What kind of bird is that anyway?

    Its an eagle. And that reverse for Probus is actually pretty common. I've seen plenty. Emmett ranks all of the eagle tetradrachms as most common, save for two rare date/die combinations.
