I have two 1982 US pennies and I can't tell what they're made of or if they are valuable in any way. Could someone tell me if these are potentially rare or just normal change?
added to above ... The right one is probably a "zincoln" ... a copper plated zinc core. The left one is probaby a zincoln too. in 1982 they changed from a full "copper" round to a mostly Zinc with a thin copper plating over it. With that one gets a lot of surface anomalies ... a lot ....
Pick ya up a set of these and you will see all the 82' differences. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1982-Linco...575242?hash=item5b82dd744a:g:t3MAAOSwf8NfxR4M
I was going to welcome you, but see you've been a member for over 2 years, which leads me to believe you are a casual observer of your pocket change, but this is the correct place to get your questions answered, which it has been. There are numerous sites that you can go to for comparisons of your coins. http://lincolncentsonline.com/closeWide.html a good site to become familiar with. Good luck
