Meow just hunted a 1976 s clad proof quarter in AU. What the heck, why would someone spend this?

I have been going to a private owned convenience store across the street from me for years, and he will not take Canadian coins. He "might"?? let you go if your a dime short but no way a quarter. I'm guessing another meow needed cat food and had to dig in his coin jar because of a cheap store owner?????

Somebody raided their collection (or their dad's) to buy a pack of cigarettes or a beer, I guarantee it.

As sad as that is, that is how coins like this get into your pocket (figuratively... they actually get saved in a better way) and it also allows coins to be circulated, which makes the similar coins that are in great condition get higher prices. If everyone kept their proof coins in great shape and unspent and all, coin collecting would not have the draw it does.

Just went through another box of halves and got skunked this time. Only got 29 NIFC's. No need for pictures. Wait until next weeks box. :)

I wouldn't call 29 NIFC's skunked. I once found 5 in one roll. I think they're undervalued due to their relatively low mintages.

Your right. Skunked on silver. The NIFC were mostly 2019 P's & D's. The mint must of dumped some in circulation. Not sure what they are worth?

I had a couple of big boxes a few months back but I have suspended CRH because I don't want to take any unnecessary trips due to the pandemic.

6 brinks rolls from the bank. 1 1940 silver quarter. And 1 Samoa bat W. I’m good with that. Rare to find a silver quarter

Hope everyone had a relaxing holiday weekend. I scored a rare nickel box at my branch today. 22 finds total.
Foreign: $1 peso (Mexico), 5¢ (Canada)
    US highlights: 1938 (<25M) and 1951-D (<25M)
Thes rest was a lot of 1946, '48, and '49 Phillies with scattered '50s.
    No silver or buffalos.
Hope you guys are finding cool stuff.

Meow has just returned from the bank with 10 SRB d rolls and 10 BAT d rolls. It is the first time Meow scored BAT quarters. The SRB rolls are the 70ith rolls Meow got. Meow open about 20 rolls of them with no Ws so just stashed them in the Cat Hoard. Anyone have any 2019s or 2020 OBW quarter rolls in P mint; Meow would love to trade for them. Meow is not sure how many roll collectors visit here, but since Meow is so awash with SRB d rolls; Meow just wanted to see if anyone was interested in them. Meow would maybe even want to trade for OBW rolls of nickels dimes and Pennies in P mint too.

I picked up $300 in MWR halves from 1 bank today while I was picking up cash to buy an engine (that's another story).

It has been a really long time, as in years, since I saw a bender from a local bank...

    I am thrilled!

I don't know when I'll get time to search these rolls, but I'm in no hurry because they're mine now:happy:

002.jpg Went to to my nickel dump bank to unload, and just for the fun of it bought 2 rolls of pennies. I sure wasn't expecting to find this 1920 Canadian in one of the rolls!
