ONLY EPHEMERA AND BOOKS AND SUPPLES CAN NOW BE SOLD, I JUST GOT THIS MESSAGE TRYING TO SELL AN IKE DOLLAR ON THERE

It looks like there's a problem with this listing.
SO FOR ALL THOSE THAT SAID IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN, IT HAS, I WAS TOLD TO SWITCH TO MANAGED PAYMENTS BY DEC 21ST, OR I WOULD BE BLOCKED FROM SELLING, SO I SWITCHED, NOW I CANNOT SELL ON HERE ANYMORE, edited??? REALLY??

"eBay will manage payments for most of its marketplace sellers by 2021, and all sellers will eventually be required to register for managed payments in order to sell on the marketplace. Watch a brief video on registering here, or learn more on Help Hub. If you still have questions, you can request a call from one of our Payments team members there." - eBay Seller Center

Welcome to the world in 2021! - coin & bullion sales probably have a high return and problem rate for both buyers and sellers, so maybe the 'bay' wants to rid itself of excess customer support headaches? only eBay knows...

i wish i never opted in..they promised me a 15.00 coupon if i did it early instead of later this month..grrr.,... they are going to lose billions of dollars in revenue over the next 10 years, guess i will just list all i have on usa coinbook, there it is free to list, and only 2 % when you sell, and they use pay pal Yay!!!

managed pay outs will be mandatory in 2021, and since i opted in early i am banned from selling coins, adult products, vehicles, and the list goes on...here is what they sent me:
    Managed payments restricted items policy

Certain items are not allowed to be listed by sellers participating in managed payments, even though those items may be allowed on eBay.

All sellers must follow the guidelines in eBay's Prohibited and restricted items policy. Sellers who are participating in managed payments have some additional restrictions on what they can list.

    What is the policy?
Sellers enrolled in managed payments are not allowed to list the following items:

    • Adult only items, including movies, video games, and photographs
    • Auction services
    • Bullion
    • Coins & paper money (only Exonumia, and Publications & Supplies are allowed)
    • Gift cards & coupons
    • Lodging, timeshares, vacation packages, and car rentals
    • Memberships for campground and RV parks
    • Motor vehicles
    • Tickets for travel, events, or experiences
    • Wine
Listings that don't follow these rules may be removed from the site or from search results. Other actions we may take include lowering a seller's rating, charging additional fees, limiting buying and selling privileges, or suspending an account.

Why does eBay have this policy?
When eBay manages the end-to-end payments experience, there are additional restrictions on what items can be sold. We are working to expand the types of items allowed by sellers in managed payments, and ensure we are compliant to support them in the future.

Not being an ebay seller, I have absolutely no clue what is being discussed in this thread. Is it possible to summarize in a sentence or two in a manner that the uninitiated can understand?

Yep, we've been watching as eBay aims this gun and draws its finger ever tighter on the trigger. Sorry you were one of the unlucky toes.

As in the post from @john65999 "When eBay manages the end-to-end payments experience, there are additional restrictions on what items can be sold." It's that Experience we will miss. The current MBA expression that makes everyone feel warm and fuzzy. I will close my eBay experience portal.

Really not sure what managed payments are, but I listed a proof set 2 days ago and had no problems listing it. Listing is still active.

YES, NORMALLY EBAY SELLS YOUR ITEM, COLLECTS PAYMENT, THEN REMITS THROUGH PAY PAL, PAYMENT FEE IS 5%, YOU GET MONEY INSTANTLY (AFTER BEING VETTED, 10 SALES WITH GOOD FEEDBACK, ETC), NOW WITH MANAGED PAYMENTS, THEY SELL THE ITEM, COLLECT THE MONEY, THEN 2 DAYS LATER THEY SUBMIT TO YOUR BANK, THEN IT TAKES 3-7 DAYS TO CLEAR..NOW FEE IS 30 CENTS PER ITEM, PLUS 2.97 %..ALSO NOW YOU ARE PROHIBITED FROM SELLIING A LOT OF DIFFERNET ITEMS, INCLUDING COINS, I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH EBAY, THEY SAID ONE YOU OPT IN, YOU CANNOT OPT OUT, SO I AM STUCK WITH NOT BEING ALLOWED TO LIST COINS, IF I HAD EFUSD TO OPT IN, THEN YOU CAN SELL COINS UNTIL THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM, HAD I KNOWN THIS, I WOULD NOT OF OPTED IN, AND BEEN ALLOWED TO SELL, THEY DID NOT TELL ME THHIS OPTION, SO I AM BASICALLY, UNEQUIVVACALLY SCREWED, LOL

BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOT OPTED IN TO MANAGED PAYMENTS, DO NOT OPT IN, TELL THEM YOU SELL COINS WHEN THEY FORCE YOU TO OPT IN, THEY WILL ALLOW YOU TO SELL, I DID NOT KNOW THIS LLOPHOLE, NOR THE RESTRICTIONS...

BECAUSE THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SINCE THEY HAVE NOT OPTED IN YET, THEY GET TO STAY WITH PAYPAL UNTIL THEY FIX THIS PROBLEM (IF EVER), SINCE I OPTED IN, NOT KNOWING THE CONSEQUENCES, I AM SCREWED

did you not see the error message i got when posting, then me saying i called them>????smh

if you are a current seller, yes, you can opt out, i was told that i have to opt in, i have previously not listed coins on there, i was waiting till i upgraded to a store for cheaper listing rates, they told me that everyone has to opt in by end of 2020, and if i opt in now i get a nice shiny 15 $ coupon (yet to receive) so, there it is, anyone that signs up for managed payoffs is screwed, which i did because i did not know of the clause before i did...juss sayin

I am talking about the Title of your thread:

EBAY HAS BANNED THE SELLING OF ALL COINS AND PAPER MONEY

It's not true. You got caught in a weird "gotcha" and I am truly sorry for that. I think what eBay did to you here sucks. But maybe you should edit your title for improved accuracy.
