I wish this thing would just go away . I plan on getting Vaccinated as soon as I can. I'm one of those with a compromised Immune system . I wish you and him the best of luck .

Honestly, I would do a distilled water soak in a container where they don't touch each other but you could swirl it. Change the water 4-5 times to see if you can dissolve some of the stuff. Place on a towel and blot/pat dry without rubbing. Set them in the sun to dry.

I've got RA, that is an auto-immune thing as well.

Oh, BTW, you are rather new here. Some people get confused by me. That is my Father, the collector in the avatar. He passed in 2001 and I am his daughter.

It hurt to see those damaged coins. Some look beyond redemption. Hope You didn't catch the Virus and your CoinGuy gets well so he can help you out. I also have a compromised Immune System. From what I've been told by a Specialist Doc at the VA, people with a compromised immune system shouldn't take any vaccination that uses a live virus. I'll have to see what's in the Covid-19 shots they're promoting right now before I'll take it.

Not to hijack this thread when there are perfectly good vaccine threads already in the General Discussion forum , but good news -- none of the vaccines about to come out use live virus. You'll certainly want to talk to your doctor before taking one, of course.
