"Gangsters Gold" is available on on-line and also this month on various PBS stations. Check your local listings.

Looks like old gangster Dutch Schultz may have hidden $50 MM in gold coins (Saint-Gaudens !!!??) and Gold Certificates in Upstate NY.

    Now that's a hoard I would pay up to own ! :D

Seriously tempted to spend an hour watching that. And that's saying a lot.

I just hope Old Dutch remembered to use individual separate velvet pouches to store any Saints or Indian Heads he hid away. :D

I'm tempted to drive up the NYS Thruway and start looking for The Big W......but I'm afraid you idiots will follow me and it will turn out like it did in 1963 in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World :D

I thought it was interesting that the one coin found was a 1903-O $10 eagle. Southern gold in Gotham. But then I had to wonder, was the coin "salted"???

So you're familiar with the Wurtsboro hill? Could it be the big W?

I didn't watch the video, yet. I likely will though. The Catskills have been my stomping ground for many many decades.

I couldn't help myself, had to watch it.

I would say less likely with PBS, than the discovery channel.
It still makes you wonder though.

spawning a mystery that has endured for nearly a century. Now, 85 years later,....

Gotta hype it up huh?
Is it 85 years later of nearly a century?? 51 years is 'nearly a century' too!
