    I don't know if I have to upgrade to start a thread or if I can put it on a existing one

    You can post it, but the odds of you having that coin are next to nil.

    @Rayrayford2

    First...Welcome to Coin Talk!…you will find us helpful if you are willing to learn, and we offer only accurate information.

    Second...every member has posting privileges, but it takes a few days for the servers to update once you join so have patience and try again later.

    Third...members do not know your level of expertise, yet. Try going to John Wexler’s website...doubleddie.com and read the articles on die creation, worthless doubling and much more. For info on errors, go to error-ref.com...you will learn what real errors are. And for all things Lincoln, ...lincolncentresource.com

    Fourth (and finally)...all of us here would love to have you post a copper 1982-D small date. The problem with that is only 2 or 3 have ever been found...so chances are you have a large date or the coin is copper-plated zinc...weigh it and post what you find to let us know...Spark

    Yes you are right sir It weighed 2.5 so I'm off on a different adventure with a messed up dime and a no mint mark 1969 quarter or the mint mark is hiding from me. Lol

    I see you managed to post some pictures
    Your 1969 quarter has no mint mark since it was minted in Philadelphia.I see nothing special, worth 25 cents
    Your 2000 dime was also minted in Philadelphia and correctly has a P mint mark. I see it is also a Misaligned Die Strike (MAD) which caused some dismay from some machine. The ensuing damage pretty much destroyed it. Might not ever work in a coin operated machine again. You could save it as an example of a MAD since it only cost 10 cents

    And Welcome aboard

    I like the acronyms but I'm kinda mad I don't have a million dollar coin. I guess people on ebay are big fat liars with their broken 5000 dollar coins then. But thanks for the info

    Yes, coins and other stuff are grossly misrepresented on eBay and Etsy. Be wary of:
    ...fake coins,
    ...fake slabs,
    ...fake coins in fake slabs,
    ...any coin purported to be “unique”. There are a whole slew of buzz words used on these two sites designed to mis-lead you.

    And, YouTube is designed to make you click cuz that’s how they make money. You can find good info there, but, coin info, for example is usually dramatically presented and pertinent, contextual info is often omitted.

    IMO, buy only from known reputable agencies or a dealer you trust. That way they are certified authentic as best they can be...Spark
