Hey everybody, if you've read my posts before you know I'm new to the hobby and I'm currently working on my Lincolns. All that to say, I was in my local coin shop buying proofs and picked up this 1981 S Lincoln for $2.00, it was marked Type I, but I scanned it and now I'm not sure? Kinda wondering if I happened upon a bargain? Maybe not, thats why I'm asking for your expert opinion!! LOL it's in a flip, so please excuse the not so great scan, but hopefully you can make out the mint mark well enough to determine for me...

yeah, I've already convinced myself its type I, I was thinking 1981 S type one was identical to 1979 S type 1 (the blob) and this seemed to have some clarity to it. I'm pretty sure the dealer was right, how dare I question his judgement! lol

now, to me with the picture being fuzzy, it looks to me to be type 2.

being as fuzz as it is you can just about tell how clear it is.

there again, i'm no judge, either, just to me.

and yes from the fuzzed picture I'm calling the seller out on this.
