I have run across a 1934 C Series $20 bill it has a D mint mark from Cleveland Ohio. This is not a star bill. I will post pictures tomorrow after scanning the bill. If anyone can give me some kind of idea on it's value, i would greatly appreciate any input on this bill.
    Thank Much,

The 1934C FRN had the signatures of Julian and Snyder. The district printed 17,912,424 according to the book "Paper Money of the United States' by friedberg. Value in VF is about $27, and in unc about $60. Other grades will have values that fall between those listed.

    hope this helps

What Daggarjon has provided you with is correct but there is one additional detail that you must consider.
The 1934 C has two types of "backs" the Old back and the new back.

The old back is slightly more valuable and can be determined by the following items:

    #1. Small Shubbery
    #2.no Balcony
#3. The White House is slightly Tilted
#4. The back plate numbers will ascend no higher than 587

Compare the back of your 1934 C with any newer series back to see indeed which one you have.

***Daggarjon**** this just sparked an idea? Check your PM's on DJF

RickieB, great point. What did you use to find this info - was it in the Swartz/Linquist book? or another book.

Its a bad habit of mine to quickly look through the friedberg book knowing full well they dont list any varieties.... i need to look either at the swartz/linquist book or another book whose name escapes me (but contains mostly the same info)

:thumb: thanks RickieB for covering my back so to speak :D
