I had an opinion when I started this post, but after reading all of the posts, I really have no clue. All I see is as near as perfect coin as I've seen in a while. Because of my old confused mind, I'll guess MS66 to MS70. How's that?
As @johnmilton pointed out. There is a small amount of disturbance in the left obverse field, also a graze on the I of IN. That definitely held the grade down. As for the DDO, It is a ddo-008, @Lehigh96 the marker you pointed out is not unique to number 3. If I would have said it was also a DDR it would have made it too easy, well done. This graded PF66* Well done @ddddd
I noticed the guesses came in all over the place...I just thru in a wild dart as I really can't tell one from another with photos...still it looks more like a 68 to me rather than a 66. My 56 PF 68* doesn't look as nice as your 66* does...of course, everything looked nice and doubled on turkey day!
I went 67 because I did not catch the hit in the I of IN. I did see the disturbance in the field in front of Washington, but did not think it was enough to bring it down to a 66. Nice looking coin though!!
I saw it after you mentioned it. I don't usually look that the devices on proofs, it's the fields that you have to really look over. I'm sure I would have caught it as you did when examining it under a loupe though. Did you buy it graded or did you send it in?
