Well its not the prettier coin but its one I didn't have in the collection. I will have to post the back whem i get it, shows quction is over when i try to get info, but this is what i got for $.99 and $3.50 shipping....
I am having trouble with the concept of a seller posting a two headed coin but showing only one side and, at that, showing the common emperor side. When you get the coin, post good photos of both sides. Do I see a trace of a Z officina mark under the bust of Aurelian? I do not have a 7 but below are 6 and 8.
There was a pic of the reverse but it only shows I won the auction and the listing info was taken down. I will.post pics of other side, its roached out but for a buck well $4.95 including shipping its my best deal, definitely not best coin thou.
Most collectors would buy the coin because of the portrait of Vabalathus on the opposite side. If that portrait is destroyed, then the coin is less desirable. Still, any coin with a decent portrait of Aurelian is worth $5, so you still got a good deal.
Great deal! I like bargains - and you got it way cheaper than I paid for this one, which came out to a bit over $5 and isn't as nice as yours. They always say, its in the eye of the beholder..those are nice coins you got too. .when I spent the past 40+ years collecting american coins, I would grab all the cheap "ugly" looking coins also because to me it was a good deal and even thou coins were worn they were special to me. That and they had silver in them...
I've won some .99 opening bid coins by searching for misspelled listings - most folks will search eBay for a 'silver quarter', but quite a few sellers misspell it and list a 'silver quater' instead - some of my silver stack pieces were won for less than melt that way
