https://www.timesofisrael.com/archa...raelite-era-attempts-to-forge-dirty-currency/ These articles are so off sometimes. What are they referring to. The articles says. one of the earliest examples of financial fraud in the form of forged primitive coins, new combined research from Haifa and Hebrew University has found. And several caches of primitive coins found in the southern Levant from 1200 to 950 BCE Then it says silver currency fragments — which predated coins by hundreds of years Also, the article doesnt show images of what they are talking about but instead shows Roman coins. So what are they calling primitive money or 'currency fragments'?
I didn't read the entire article, but I see pictures and examples of what they're talking about. And I'm not into Ancients but these certainly don't look like Roman coins to me - Just a suggestion, but if you have questions, why not use the Contact Us link they have and ask them directly.
I swear that when I posted this thread none of those photos were on that page just a hand holding Roman coins and a picture of a hill where they found the coins. Odd.
Could have been a page loading issue, or who knows what else. There's been some rather unusual things happening with the internet the past few weeks - month. I've just been guessing but I've been chalking it up to possible covid related staff reductions as they usually clear up within 30 seconds or so.
