Please GTG of the 1955 Jefferson Nickel shown below. I have attached a poll for you to cast your vote and you may select up to 2 different things: the numerical grade, and the + designation. Typically, I include full steps & star designation, but this coin is clearly not full steps or star worthy, so we won't bother. As always, comments welcome and don't forget to vote in the poll, thanks!
I went MS65+ on this one. I see some marks on the shoulder and a few dings on hair. I also think the slab is scuffed so that might make it looks worse than it is...it's hard to tell. I might go a little higher but I'm going to stick with MS65+.
It's a little difficult to distinguish between some marks that are on the the holder and some others that could be on the coin. Fields are super clean, some marks on hair below where the ear would be and some on the shoulder, luster seems a bit too muted to make 66. I'm going to say 65, but I could see a + as it's a very clean coin.
I voted MS-65 due to the overall prevalence of contact marks. However, I could see a TPG grading this coin an MS-66.
I went MS 66+ ..fields looked clean and I might have been biased this go-around by guessing low on several in the past
