Are the AGE 1oz Uncirculated Coins Worth It?

    Agreed. They're expensive, esp. when you can get a BU for $100 (or less) over spot. I was thinking about it, but even the reverse proof Mayflower coins didn't sell out too quickly and they were limited to 5000 copies. If this mintage would have been limited to 4000 copies, I would have been more interested.

    My guess is that to get top value, a.) the mint would have to sell less than being offered, i.e. not sell out, and, b.) the population of the top graded coins would need to introduce some rarity-- or if there is some variety that is only later discovered.

    The Mint has attempted to create some level of rarity by limiting to 7000 copies, but that's just not low enough to make it stand out-- like the V75 release that @fretboard shared, which was limited to 1945 copies!

    They had a lot of great releases this year and they're banking on this being the final year of this design, but meh, not enough for me to bite. I might eat my words later. I might change my mind tonight. Time will tell.
