Meow is sorry to hear about your loved one. It is tough to lose a loved one, with or without fur. Meow offers the deepest condolences.

I'd have to look to be sure. I'll take out my Kennedy's and find my list.

tmeyer - Sorry for your loss. I went through the same thing in the last year. Pancreatic Cancer diagnosed October '19, wife died May '20. With the Covid isolation, I restarted coin collecting (CRH) after 55 years. Helps fill the day and the void.

Sorry for your loss. Meow does find CRH very therapeutic. Keeping idle paws, and brain occupied with a hobby one can have passion for, has immensely helped Meow during dark times.

You buy them then you don’t open them. What do you expect. Sorry meow. I’m done with this madness. When you get letters in the mail. Do you open them????

But Meow has a OBW roll collection too. There are packs of baseball/sport/game cards in packs that have a huge value unopened. Some folk collect those too. If Meow was crazy wealthy, Meow would have dozens of cars just to keep. Meow always wanted a convertible permanently parked in the house to sit in and watch TV out of. Meow has 14 guitars, yet only can paw at them to play one at a time. But it all makes Meow happy, why is that so hard to understand? Oh yea, and Meow has some action figures that will never leave their box too. Meow thinks Millions of folks around the world do that too. But why, when toys are meant to be played with? Its just what die hard folks do. Meow is one die hard kitty too, if you have not noticed.

3 banks tonight had $200 CWR halves, $60 MWR halves, and $4.50 loose halves...yielded about 1 roll of BU Cu-Ni clad bicentennials, otherwise nothing.

    Hi Folks,
I live in the New Haven, CT area and obtaining rolled coins from the bank is almost impossible. Up until March I used to buy boxes of pennies, nickels ,an occasional box of quarters and box of halves. Since then, just about zippo. The 3 banks that I deal with all tell me that they just cannot get boxes of rolled coins. I can't really figure it out because all of the businesses are open as usual , unless folks are almost exclusively using their credit and debit cards and don't want to touch or handle cash.
I am very surprised that by now the situation would have returned to normal. Kudos to those who can obtain rolls and their wonderful finds !!

@jacksbike, banks in my area have not allowed coin orders since about May. Even my favorite head teller has told me she cannot order coins for me atm. There is reportedly a "coin shortage". I believe this is not true, but they make the rules.

Two days ago I saw a coin courier company worker emptying a coin counter at one of my banks. Obviously, coins are still being put back into circulation to some extent.

I believe it will be late summer before things begin to feel normal. Meanwhile, we wait.

    Good luck to all!

Does anyone else think it might be about transitioning to a digital currency? I will be very sad to see that happen.

Went thru my box of halves from last Friday and had only 3 NIFC's until the second from last roll and found a 1967. Almost got skunked. 11-20-20 box.jpg

A small mouse in paw, is better than no mouse in paw.
