Using diplomacy, money, and some military force, he managed to close down most of the independent duchies and baronies in France and unite them with the kingdom. He also kept wild turkeys as pets.

I am no Russian expert but it appears it could be a kopek struck in Moscow in 1547 (Kleshchinov & Grishin: Catalogue of Medieval Coins of Russia 1533-1617 - no. 73).
I'm really curious about your coin! Do you own it? Who attributed it to Vlad the Impaler? As far as i know there are only 2 known pieces that were possibly issued by Vlad Tepes, the Impaler, the ones below, identified/ attributed by a well known numismatist back home, Octavian Iliescu. The second one seemingly presents the comet Halley, which showed up in 1456, the year he took the throne of Wallachia for the second time! Ps.
