1835 half cent i got from my grandfather

This is the final half cent i got from my grandfather its quite beat up and it did get nicked real good but its still special to me cause my grandfather found it and gave it to me

I still collect to this day grant you its nothing as old as my large cents or half cents

 

It has character. I like it. I’m sure that it adds to the memory.

 

I can agree I've had my grandfathers 4 full books of foreign coins about 50 lbs worth from 1770-1880 nothing real special but not in my wheelhouse but still can't pass them on yet? Special memories of flipping Wheaties while listening to red sox on radio (no tv) while munching on cheese it's and Canada Dry ginger ale while the big boys had scotch? 50 rolls every weekend! ( In the 60'S)

 

Now that 185 yr old coin has seen some days!
