I do not own this coin and therefore not selling. But a friend has this coin and wonders what it might be worth.

Here is a 1893 Carson. It is in terrible shape, doubt if it would even make a
G-4. However it is one of the rarer coins price wise. So if you were bidding on this coin, how high would you go ?

Um, I would say around $200 :hail:

Looking at those pics I would say the coin in question is around a VG-8, and if I was in the market, about $200-225 would be my buy price.

You might think it's in terrible shape, but it is in my price range. I'd say $200 is a realistic price also.

It may just be me, but I would worry about the authenticity of this coin. Look at the Denticles on both Reverse and Obverse. They appear to be of varying size. The abnormal wear pattern on the Reverse seems to be out of character even with abuse.
This coin based upon what is left of the detail would grade a VF-20 to XF-45.

With this word of caution, check this coin for the unique features known on the Dies used for the 1893CC before you purchase.
