1993 D penny Eye lid Question

  1. Hey folks been awhile. Wife found a penny with A much different Eyelid than other one we got. Didnt see any posts with one that looks like this. What causes it?
    3rd picture is 1993 D also.

    What am I supposed to be looking at precisely ? All looks normal to me.

    It's a Copper Plated Zinc Cent. The plating could cause all kinds of weird looking things. Bubbles and blisters can be big or small on any location. Even on the eyelid.

    It looks like there is a plating blister which is mimicking a doubled eyelid.

    Let's hope for Honest Abe's sake that blister doesn't break open and rot!
